To strengthen our team in Hamburg we are currently searching for a

Strategic Purchaser (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies for long-term procurement goals
• Identify and qualify suppliers to meet company requirements
• Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to lower risks and improve project and company margin
• Manage supplier performance, quality control, and delivery times
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure in-time availability for ongoing projects
• Monitor and report on market trends affecting procurement
• Identify suitable partner for frame work agreements and initiate negotiations

• Completed relevant educational background, such as a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Several years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus on strategic purchasing
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken), additional language skills (e.g., German, French) are an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and a procurement software (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
• Expertise in contract negotiations, including pricing, terms and agreements with suppliers
• Experience in the renewable energy sector, manufacturing, or offshore industries is a plus
• Strong team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, tender, and finance
• Adaptable to working in a rapidly changing environment and responding to evolving business needs
